New York is one of the largest cities in the world and it is also the most important American city. It is served by JFK, LaGuardia and Newark Liberty International Airport. While LaGuardia and JFK are in the Bronx, Newark Airport is in New Jersey, some 24 kilometers away.
To catch a cheap flight from NYC to Miami, you will need to confirm from which airport your plane is taking off. John F. Kennedy International Airport is the most well-known of these, and has four runways. LaGuardia used to be better known but it is now a secondary airport.
Getting to New York airport
Once you confirm from which airport flights to Miami from New York are taking off, you can make arrangements to arrive early at the designated airport. If your plane is taking off from either LaGuardia or JFK, you can always take New York City Subway trains from wherever you are. If your plane is taking off from Newark Liberty International Airport, you will have to allow sufficient time for traveling as it is located in New Jersey. Getting to Miami
Miami is one of the most glamorous cities in the world, and is known for its sunny climate and beautiful people. Arriving to the city centre
If you are traveling from New York to Miami, you will land at Miami International Airport. This airport isn't very far away from the city and is located 13 kilometers away from the city center. All you need to do is to hop on a Metrorail, which brings you to downtown Miami in less than 15 minutes. You can also take the Airport Flyer bus, which goes toward South Beach. If you are on this bus, remind yourself to get down at Lincoln Road. You can also take fixed-rate taxis from the airport to South Beach and Downtown Miami. Another option is to take the Tri-Rail, which happens to be Miami's mass transit system.
